Housed in the historic Hungry Gull Restaurant, originally built by Walter and Lena Frampton in 1926, where Lena cooked three hearty meals a day, lumberjack style. In 1946, Ben and Eleanor Curry became the new owners and expanded the restaurant. The property changed hands several times until 1988 when Dutch and Irma Cragun purchased it.     Char is our go to restaurant when entertaining or want a great meal! The food is always delicious, beautifully presented and the service is outstanding! I believe our server was Jessica last night and with all the people that dine there, she actually remembered us and the cocktail my husband had ordered from a previous dinner there! Very impressive! She is great, personable and the young lady coming around and freshening up waters was also very nice. We will continue to drive to you from the other end of the lake! Char is our favorite! Thank you for hiring great people!

    Everyone loved their meal. We enjoyed the shrimp po boy, fish and chips, New York Reuben, and chicken cordon blue and key lime pie for dessert, and had great service.
