We ended up doing the Perkinsville Pork appetizer and the shrimp cocktail. Both were delicious, and I love that you can get the P. pork as an app and then order something else for dinner. 2 of us had the New York Strip steaks, one had the 8oz. filet, one had the Perkinsville pork as their meal, and one had the 32oz. pork chop. We all felt we had chosen well, and the steaks were cooked as ordered. The strip steak had a great grilled flavor and the filet was equally delicious, but the show stopper was the pork chop! It was enormous, covered in a delicious BBQ sauce/glaze, and it had a wonderful smoky flavor. After the appetizers, we all ended up grabbing a take home box for part of our entree. The star of the show, as always, is the sugar cream cake with the blueberries. It's a great sweet end to a delicious meal. Gas City's unusual name comes from the discovery of natural gas in 1887, which led the citizens to change the name. The gas was eventually depleted, but Gas City is still gastronomically rich.
