New Paltz Restaurants

Easily one of the two most memorable dining experiences we've had during the last two years; the other was at Eric Rupert's Le Bernardin in Manhattan back in May of 2025. The plating was a visual feast, the cuisine itself was exceptional, the service impeccable (thank you Sophia), the atmosphere elegant without being stuffy and at $48 per person for a three-course meal, the cost was remarkable.

We had an incredible experience at American Bounty. Our server was Elijah and he was super attentive. As I'm a picky eater I could not find anything on the menu that sounded appealing to me. Even the burger was half mushroom, which I just don't eat; however I was able to find something interesting in the strip sirloin and I tried a salad with leaves and vegetables, lettuce that I'd never had before. By far this was one of the best meals my wife and I had ever had. We were super excited to see this campus since our daughter was accepted here and just hasn't started yet. We wanted to give her our opinion of how incredible this place was. The restaurant did not disappoint. The drinks were phenomenal. I had a local beer that was made on campus. We had these delicious chips that were super thin and light and delicious and the dessert was absolutely incredible. It was a s'mores dessert that actually had gold flakes on it that my wife tried. Can't wait to come back here for more meals and to try the other restaurants.

What a unique dining experience. Josh, our waiter, a Clemson grad, who is now pursuing a career in hospitality could not have been more attentive. The menu was very unique, and offered a wide variety. I chose a seafood entrée that was prepared well. The cauliflower soup we ordered was warm and flavorful. Our cannoli desert left us completely happy. One of the waitstaff invited me to tour the kitchen where I met, Tom, the head chef. He could not have been more gracious as he came out to meet my wife. What more can I say!

This lovely restaurant is a gem. 4 of us were celebrating a milestone birthday there on a Sunday evening. Charming ambience, excellent service and delicious food made for a memorable meal. Highly recommend!
