To our amazing community: This is not goodbye – This is “see you soon”! We remain committed to this city and hope to revisit a Fhimas concept in the near future. In the meantime, our catering arm, Artisans and Spice will continue operating out of the Newest Mother Dough location, a state-of-the-art bakery in the newly renovated US Bank Building… So, if you NEED a party with our Lamb Cigars or you can’t go without Paella or hummus for your next event, we’ve got you covered. You can also find your favorite Fhimas team members at one of our sister locations, Maison Margaux or Vagabondo. Most importantly, we will continue serving the community through partnerships with Second Harvest/Kitchen Coalition. Our entire family and staff are eternally grateful for the incredible (almost) 10 years spent in this historic space and will cherish the grand celebrations and quiet dinners we shared there.

From the OpenTable editors: At Fhima’s, chef David Fhima draws from his Moroccan, Sicilian, and Spanish roots to build a menu that Wine Spectator honored with a Best of Award of Excellence in 2024. His lamb tagine arrives layered with onion and fig confit, while the Moroccan sampler gives you a taste of the classics like hummus, baba ganoush, and matbucha. All of it is enhanced by the exceptional wine program that’s nearly 3,000-bottles strong and has more than 35 options by the glass. The restaurant itself feels like stepping into a time capsule—it’s inside the landmark Forum Cafeteria, a jaw-dropping Art Deco space from 1929 with mirrored walls and geometric tilework that makes every meal a memorable one.

First visit here- seemed understaffed or something was just off. Waited to be checked in, then they couldn’t find our reservation, finally seated in the far back for our larger group. Felt like an “extra” table although others seemed available in the main dining area. Took over 20 minutes to get water and drinks. Very slow service overall, since it took almost an hour to get one drink and two appetizers, decided to leave and get entrees elsewhere. Other patrons we knew and spoke to said they were having same experience. Food was delicious, but overpriced. Would likely not return, at least not with a larger group.

Had a reservation for an early dinner on Saturday before a concert downtown. They were overwhelmed and understaffed so we did not get our drinks for at least 15-20 mins after ordering them. The menu was very small and had a hard time finding something to order. We had a party of 5 and noise level was fine, enjoyed our table. Overall, I don’t think I would come back. This was my personal 3rd time here and it’s not worth coming back for.

While I generally like Fhima’s and the food is usually good, they seemed to be very understaffed yesterday evening. We had a 5:00 pre-concert reservation, and still didn’t even have drinks an hour after being seated. We had to get up to find someone with whom to place our order. Our appetizer and main courses all arrived at the same time, and drinks maybe 15 minutes later (after we got up and chased down a waiter). Overall, not the pre-concert experience we were hoping for.

They were short staffed and the food came out lukewarm. We sat for 30 minutes with no server before finally asking the host in front about the situation so that someone would come to the table. So disappointing as our previous couple of visits had been great.

Wonderful meal and experience - entrees were delicious well prepared and presented. Server and staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - taking time to explain food and wine options. Beautiful and historic space. A nice touch was storing our leftovers in their fridge for us to pick up after the Mn Orchestra concert. Stopped in for an Irish coffee post concert to warm up. Very nice evening. First time there and we will be back. Highly recommend

The food was amazing. The service was great, though a menu tour would have been helpful seeing as how it was our first time dining there (we did get one after we asked). Our server felt a bit overwhelmed by the larger party she had as well as a few tables in the front; overall she did an amazing job while also having training another server on her first day.

Love this place. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. We came for a pre-show dinner and it was perfect for a quick walk to the Orpheum. I had sea bass with chickpeas in a harissa sauce-loved the spice!

Menu was limited, maybe due to Valentine's Day, but what they did have appeared to have been reheated from the night before. It wasn't terrible, just meh. Drinks was excellent, smoked old fashioned were fun and different. Staff was super nice. Best part was the layout and design. Very cool.

The only criticism is that the lights were way too bright and the music choice did not match the vibe. If the lights were dimmed and for back ground music it should be slow, soft and smooth jazz. Besides these two things, I still had an amazing time. The service was incredible.

This was our second trip to Fhima’s, and it was just as incredible as the first. For drinks, we enjoyed a glass of Greek wine and the Aphrodite Spritz (NA). Both were delicious. The salmon and chickpeas were sublime, and the chicken with béarnaise and pomme frites was probably the best chicken I have ever had in my life. The special dessert for Valentine’s day was also a knockout. Service was also a highlight. I had the misfortune of breaking my foot that morning, and they were so kind to accommodate my crutches and general lack or mobility. Everybody was kind and attentive. This is an easy recommendation.
