Welcome to Karaikudi! Chettinad cuisine is from the Chettinad region of the state of Tamil Nadu in South India. It is one of the spiciest and the most aromatic of foods in India. Our restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Most of the dishes are eaten with rice, the staple grain of South India. The cuisine also includes many popular rice-based dishes such as dosa, appam, idiyappam, adai and idli. In addition Karaikudi also has popular North Indian favourites like Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Naan and Chicken Tikka.

Food is great. Wide variety of South India dishes. Service is hit and miss. This particular occasion was terrible. Staff never ask how the food is. Have to constantly flag down staff for orders. Had to wait almost 20 minutes for the bill, despite repeatedly asking servers for it. On this day, the restaurant was not even half full, so there is no excuse for sloppy service.

We chose this through Trip Advisor, and we were very pleased. The waiter was very nice, prompt and helpful. The food was delicious, and the place was packed with couples, families and friend groups chattering and laughing. We hope to get back and try some of the other things on the menu!
