Everything about Cafe Sauvage is top-notch without being in the least pretentious. Down-to-earth and knowledgable service; very well curated wine list of wines by the glass; expertly prepared food with small and smart touches: for example, you ask for bread and get a plate of delicious, grilled loaf. Our food was excellent: steak frites with a bavette steak served rare (as requested!) and delicious cavatelli served with braised short ribs. It was one of the most delicious burgers I’ve had in Boston for the simplicity and smoky flavour that the chef has curated.
