Buka Maranga Café is more than a coffee shop. It’s a quiet invitation to slow down, to feel seen, and to return to what truly matters. The story began in 2007, when a newlywed couple took over a small neighbourhood spot called Buka Maranga: The Bean and Bagel Company. As a new venture with a lot of heart, they stepped out in faith, raising their children alongside the café and learning through seasons of uncertainty, resilience, and growth. Over the years, that humble bagel shop began to transform. The menu evolved, the community grew, and so did the vision. In 2018, the name was simplified to Buka Maranga, a nod to Bucaramanga, a Colombian city known for its café culture, but also carrying a deeper meaning: “House of the Lord.”That meaning became the heartbeat of the space. What started as a café turned into a kind of refuge a place to slow down, to reconnect, and to be reminded of the goodness woven into ordinary moments.

    Second visit to Taps and came back because the first visit in August 2026 was so amazing. Great menu. Amazing customer service. Loads of staff. Delicious food. Cool atmosphere and vibe. Love the music. Involved management. I am kicking myself for ignoring this restaurant for 5 years. It is now going in my rotation of restaurants to visit. Recommendations: Lobster Linguine Any Pizza Any of the shareable steak boards

    My teen grandson and I both enjoyed our meals. The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was attentive and the staff delivering the food from the kitchen were exceptionally pleasant. I have no complaints whatsoever and would come back again. In fact, my grandson wants to do this every year to celebrate his birthday and that suits me just fine!

    We celebrated my daughter's birthday at the Quest restaurant & the food was par excellence. Every entree was beautifully presented & delicious. Our server, Helen, was attentive, engaging & anticipated our needs. It was a nice touch for the chef to come out & check in on us. To top it all, the birthday cake they assembled was not just a slice but a variety of tasty desserts which made my daughter's day truly special. I highly recommend Quest restaurant at the Hilton Mississauga Meadowvale. It is a hidden gem!
